Working at a university I find that I often leave the office with lower back and sciatic pain. I have another lumbar support that is a thin dense rubber coated memory foam that I have tried from a different brand, It's a little too rigid and doesn't give quiet as much support.

This cushion is fantastic. It is a high density memory foam so it's still soft, but it is firm and keeps it's shape even with people over 300 pounds. The sides are wide enough to fit snuggly against the back to help give a lot of support. The only thing I didn't care for, was that the strap to hold it to the chair is solid, non stretch webbed strap material. It is a little tricky to get it to stay on the chair, but the plus side is since it's not elastic, it hasn't falled off yet. The grey "furry" texture is nice because it doesn't show a lot of lint or collection of debris so it looks slick and professional even after constant use.
