NewAir WAT40W Water Dispenser Review

7:15 PM

I have wanted to get a water dispenser in my home forever but I never saw one that popped out at me and the cheap ones had awful reviews. It was hard to find a solid one so I just kept putting it off and buying bottled water. This dispenser is BPA free and very easy to use and well built.

Then I saw the NewAir water dispenser filter and I thought that was a genius idea to have a purifier bottle so I looked into their other products. They were all sleek looking and had great reviews. So I looked into it further. I was able to get one of their water dispenser devices free in exchange for my thorough and unbiased review.

The Water Dispenser I received is fantastic! The shape and height is nice enough to be comfortable I would say for most anyone as I am 6’3 and don’t have to bend down really low to get water out of the tap, I do have to stoop a little to use the hot water because of the lock (which is a genius feature and absolutely my favorite aspect of this machine compared to others I have used at offices or other homes)

The first time I set it up I was frustrated because I couldn’t figure out why my water was Luke warm. Finally I stopped being a man and read the instructions and realized there are two switches on the back one for the cold water and one for the warm. THESE ARE FANTASTIC! They are just out of the way enough to not be obtrusive, but once you realize they are there they are easy to access, but not accidentally hit. These switches allow you to turn off the hot or cold water features individually which is absolutely brilliant. I loved the thought of having access to hot water, but it’s getting to be summer and so I figured it would just be a fact that I would always have hot water ready, even when I didn’t want it. But having individual switches means I can turn off the hot water feature in the summer months when cocoa and tea is the furthest thing from refreshing. This TOTALLY sold me on this brand’s ability to think through needs and uses.

The device is bottom loading which is extremely nice for multiple reasons. First that it is very unlikely that you will spill since you don’t have to try to juggle a really heavy bottle upside down. For those of you who haven’t lifted 5 gallons of water at once, it gets heavy, especially since it’s a fluid weight and it shifts around a lot. Secondly It doesn’t look hideous and it fits a lot more easily into more places because it doesn’t take up as much room as a top loader. The bottle is easy to attach, you simply put the pump in, snap it to the top of your bottle (We had one from the local grocer) and you’re done, the device will auto start pumping once connected. This model is a bottom load dispenser and so it actually has a secondary pump for that. It's not noisy like I've heard, even cooling and heating. I've never heard it when I'm more than a foot away from the dispenser. Really nice that it's silent.

Overall this device has been absolutely fantastic! Not only does it save us energy by having multiple power options and being energy star certified, it helps us cut down on our plastic bottle consumption since we have hard water through our well. I am absolutely ecstatic about this device and don’t think I’ll ever go without a dispenser again. Check out the pictures below!
