In the world of wireless products, smart TVs and data, I kinda chug along with my dumb, 10 year old LCD. but this device helps me to simply my life and feel like I have a super fun expensive tv without the super fun expensive price tag. This device is NOT a chromecast/roku. It is not an independent player but can stream Netflix or any other video app/site/file from your phone, laptop or tablet. It is awesome for sharing items so others can see. Also if you don't have cable like me you can stream to your TV from Netflix or hulu or rent movies from amazon or google to digitally stream. On phones and tablets. You can only stream apps that have streaming ability like miracast or apple airplay, it will not stream just your phone or tablet screen by itself. This works really well for date night. The only thing to watch for is that it does require charging with a USB cord simultaneously while using. It comes with a cord but not a wall block since some TV's have USB ports on them, you can charge it there, or just make sure you have an opening on your power strip.
