This device is great because it is versatile enough to sharpen any edged knife you have in your kitchen. It won't sharpen a lightsaber, but if you have one of those then we should be friends and I would still share my sharpener with you for anything else bladed you might have. The Grip on this knife sharpener is fantastic is a matte feeling rubber. the sharpening rods can get you an edge on probably anything else you have. It holds really well to the counter with a rubber bottomed coating on both the handle and the knife sharpening area.
