Maxam Sword

The Maxam Sword is an
Excellent prop sword, the steel is nice and solid, doesn't bend and is well
formed. The whole sword is a single piece of metal with the hand guard
separating the blade from the paracord wrapped handle. The wrapping is very
tight and looks very sleek when it's all together with the sheath. The blade
itself is not incredibly sharp, it is edged, but if you plan on doing anything
remotely cutty with it, you'll need to sharpen it, the point on it is very
sharp however and if you want to use it strictly as a prop, you will probably
need to blunt it. As is it is a nice show piece around the house. The sheath is
sturdy and completely wood, it feels nice in the hand and is light weight. The
only issue I had was that the blade came very oiled, to the point I had to wipe
it off several times after removing it in the sheath, but I was impressed that
there was forsight enough to keep the blade oiled that I remove no stars from
that as it easily is cleaned up and keeps the blade looking fresh.
Overall this is a nice price for a nice piece. If you want it for more than display, it’ll take a little work either way, I would not recommend it for heavy use in any case.
